Widget Engine: In computer software, a widget engine is a software service available to users for running and displaying applets on a graphical user interface, such as that of the desktop. Krento is a widget engine that supports more than one type of widgets, including Krento Stones, Krento Toys and RocketDock docklets.
Desktop Widgets: Desktop widgets (commonly just called widgets) are interactive virtual tools that provide single-purpose services such as showing the user the latest news, the current weather, the time, a calendar, a dictionary, a map program, a calculator, desktop notes, photo viewers, or even a language translator, among other things.
Dock: A dock is a graphical user interface element that typically provides the user with a way of launching, switching between, and monitoring running programs or applications. Some Docks can also run small widgets, called in this case docklets. The functionality of the Dock is implemented in Krento via the Krento Stones Manager.
Launcher: Launcher is an easy-to-use file and application shortcut manager that can launch all kinds of files and programs.
Krento Stone: Krento Stone is a kind of Krento Widgets, designed to perform small, but useful actions, like launching applications, opening websites, managing PC power, etc..

Krento Stones Manager: Krento Stones Manager is a visual element of Krento that combines the possibilities of Dock and Launcher applications and responsible for the visualization, appearance and execution of Krento Stones. It can run at once 12 different Stones and instantly reload the set of the stones called «Krento Application Ring». By default, the Krento Stones Manager can be activated by pressing the «Win + C» key combination or pressing your mouse wheel. You can change the way you activate the Stones Manager in the settings dialog later. It is also possible to activate the Stones Manager via the Krento Pulsar context menu or via the Krento tray icon context menu.
Krento Application Ring: The set of 12 Krento stones which are active at the same time and grouped around the Krento Stones Manager. There is one default application ring that comes with Krento, but you free to create your own application rings, as many as you want. You can assign a custom icon and give a useful description to your rings. Krento Stones Manager will help you to create, modify and load your rings in a very simple and convenient way.

Krento Pulsar: Pulsar resides on your desktop and helps with common repetitive tasks, like activating Krento Manager, installing new stones, toys and skins, configuring Krento etc… It can be easy hidden from desktop or moved to any desktop position that you like. The Pulsar would remember the screen position you have chosen and always appear at this position when you launch Krento.
Krento Application Skin: In computing, a skin is a custom graphical appearance achieved by the use of a graphical user interface (GUI) which can be applied to specific software to suit the purpose, topic, or tastes of different users. Software that is capable of having a skin applied is referred to as being skinnable, and the process of writing or applying such a skin is known as skinning. Applying a skin changes Krento look and feel and make the program more aesthetically pleasing. Krento comes with many skins, but you can download and install an extra skins, packaged as .kskin file or create your own skins in very simple way. Beside it’s own skin format, Krento supports also RocketDock and ObjectDock skins.
Krento Menu Skin: The process of Krento skinning is divided into two parts. You can apply skins for Krento Stones Manager and Krento Menus independently. It gives you the possibility to make any combination of Krento Application Skin and Krento Menu Skin for more flexible adjusting of Krento’s look and feel. You can download extra menu skins, packaged as .kmenu file or create your own menu skins that is suitable for your taste.

C# is simple, powerful, type-safe, and object-oriented. Krento is developed using C#. You can create your own Krento Plug-ins, Toys and Stones using C#.
Krento Portable: Special edition of Krento, designed to run from external hard drive or USB flash drive. This version of Krento does not have setup application, it can be extracted from the archive and run directly by executing Krento.exe application. All user-related data will be stored in the same folder, where Krento application is located.
